Soup & Sermon
Everytime we have a visitor Luncheon we make a pot of homemade soup. We pack a quart of soup, a roll, and a dessert together with a cassette tape of a sermon and the day’s church bulletin. One of our Zion ministers goes out to visit someone who is not able to attend the church service. Usually, they have a short visit with the person, learn about prayer needs and pray with the person. We give them a care bear to hug. It is an opportunity for us to learn about any other needs the person may have and to give that one thing television can not do – The human, healing touch.
The Soup & Sermon ministry is in need of persons to visit. A few that we were visiting are now attending church because of transportation created through Soup & Sermon. Candidates for Soup & Sermon visits are those who can not attend church for any reason. They do not have to be members of Zion Church. Please give your suggestions and persons to be visited to Rev. Peterson or Maria at church office 927-5544, Pat Harley at 926-0212 or Barbie Scibal at 927-7777.

Christ speaks through the written word and the preached word. Let’s get the word out!
